The Red Wagon Ministry

The Red Wagon Ministry works in our community to aid CCAP (Congregational Community Action Project) in helping families with babies and young children. The concept is very simple: churches are asked to fill a red wagon with disposable diapers of various sizes. Volunteers will then collect the wagons for CCAP to distribute to those who are in need.

From November 1st to November 15th we will be collecting disposable diapers for CCAP (Congregational Community Action Project) through the Red Wagon Ministry. Look for the red wagon in the back of the church!

Why are we collecting disposable diapers?

Cloth diapers are less expensive and environmentally friendlier than disposable diapers, but the reality is cloth diapers are not accepted by daycare providers or easily laundered in transient housing conditions. Diapers like food are a general living expense for these families and demand for them has exceeded the supply at CCAP. Having diapers provided by CCAP allows these struggling families to purchase other necessities.
