What To Expect
Here is a brief overview of what to expect from a typical Sunday morning service at College Park.
Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:00 a.m. We begin with a Scripture reading and a time of prayer. Following is a brief overview of a typical Sunday at College Park.
Worship through Song
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:19-20
A portion of our worship service is devoted to worshiping through song. Our Our Sunday morning worship is led by our praise team. The songs vary from traditional to contemporary and a variety of instruments are used. There is an order of worship printed in the bulletin so that you can follow along with the service. The words to the songs are displayed on the screen in the front of the auditorium.
Remembering Christ through Communion
For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
We observe the Lord’s Supper each Sunday in remembrance of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. This memorial was begun by Jesus at the Last Supper, and continued by the early church on the first day of each week. Typically one of the members of College Park will share a Communion Devotion. The purpose of this time is to focus us on the sacrifice of Jesus. The Lord’s Supper is open to all believers.
Remembering Christ through Giving
During our service, we will pass plates to collect offerings for the ongoing expenses and ministries of the church. As our guest, you aren’t expected to make a donation. If you have filled out a visitor card, you can place it in the offering plate as it is passed.
A Message from God’s Word
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is applicable and relevant to our everyday lives. A part of our service is set aside to study God’s Word. There is a sermon outline included in the bulletin each week if you would like to follow along during the message. Generally the audio and handouts from our Sunday service are available on Monday on our website.
Our Auditorium
Our auditorium is located on the upper level of our building. A stair lift is available. The stair lift is located inside the first door on ground level. There is closed circuit TV (HD) available in in the fellowship area on the first floor.
