John 1:37-51
A Savior for the Skeptical

Our Service for Sunday, September 15th, 2024

Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” (John 1:46)

In our text we'll see an encounter between Jesus and Nathanael. We'll see skepticism and big questions followed by Jesus' graceful response.

Key Points:

Jesus knows us intimately and responds to our honest questions with grace, not anger or frustration.

Our skepticism can be a pathway to stronger faith when we bring our doubts directly to Jesus.

God often reveals Himself to us in ways that exceed our expectations, just as Jesus promised Nathanael he would see "greater things."

As we reflect on this message, let's be encouraged to bring our questions and doubts to Jesus, trusting that He knows us, loves us, and desires to reveal Himself to us in profound ways.

Remember, like Nathanael, we are invited to "come and see" - to experience Jesus for ourselves. May we all grow in our willingness to wrestle honestly with God and in our openness to His revelations in our lives.
